Yosi Ben-Dov, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board


As the company`s Chairman, Dr. Ben-Dov provides the leadership and vision for Universal Ad with his wide ranging knowledge of international high-tech management.

Prior to joining Universal Ad, Yosi was the CEO of Schema, a global provider of industry-leading network optimization software solutions for telecom operators. During his nine-year tenure at Schema he grew the company from a small start-up into a stable, profitable company with a broad client base and a competitive product offering. Yosi was previously a VP at Amdocs and the Managing Director of the Financial Strategies Group at Prudential Securities.  He was also a co-founder and vice president for a start-up company, Carmel Biosensors, which developed a blood glucose sensor for diabetic patients.

Yosi has a B.Sc. in mathematics, economics and statistics from the Hebrew University and a Ph.D. in operations research from the University of California, Berkeley. Yosi lectured on Operations Research at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and at the Wharton School of Business. He serves as a director on the boards of Carmel Acoustics Ltd. and the Haifa Center for Entrepreneurship.




Aviel Amit, Founder and CEO


As the company`s founder and CEO, Mr. Amit conceived the visionary technology on which Universal Ad`s products are based on and he directs the company's overall activities.

Aviel has more than 20 years of extensive managerial experience in the area of computerized publishing and media solutions, working with the largest advertisers and retailers in Israel in a variety of software development and professional services roles. Prior to founding Universal Ad and developing its flagship product, he founded and served as CEO of two companies - Aviel-Amith Ltd. which focused on software development for large organizations and SoftGraph Ltd. which offered professional computerized graphical publishing services.

Aviel holds a M.Sc. and a B.Sc. degrees with honors in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University, where he focused his studies and thesis on computer graphics and image processing. Aviel also has registered three US patents.




Asaf Amiel, Director of Finance


Mr. Amiel leads the company's financial activities as the company builds itself to become a dominant player in the retail software market.

Asaf brings with him extensive experience in accounting, financial and administrative management. Prior to joining Universal Ad, he served as Financial Controller at GigaSpaces Technologies, a developer of infrastructure software solutions for mission-critical applications, overseeing the financial infrastructure of the company, addressing international accounting, taxation, and HR, in Europe as well as in the US. Previously, Asaf served as an Audit Team Leader in the Hi-Tech group at PriceWaterhouseCoopers supervising privately-held and publicly traded companies from the hi-technology and services sectors.

Asaf is a Certified Public Accountant (Isr.). He holds BA degree in Accounting & Business Administration from the Israeli College of Management and MBA from Tel Aviv University.




Eric Sherbacow, VP Sales North America


Mr. Sherbacow has over 17 yeas of experience in diverse sales and marketing roles, with a proven track record of selling enterprise software. Eric also has specific experience launching new products for both established and small venture-backed operations and growing territories to multi-million dollar revenue streams. Prior to Universal Ad, Mr. Sherbacow was Director of Enterprise Sales at AppForge, a mobile application technology company, where he was hired to jump-start and expand its business base in the Northeast. Previously, he held senior sales positions at Levy, Ray & Shoup, TelePartner International and Electronic Label Technology where he was in charge of Northeast sales for a unique barcode label and signage software package with customers such as CVS, Ahold, Wegmans, Staples and many more.

Mr. Sherbacow has a BA degree from Boston College.




Uri Levy, VP Product Marketing


As VP Product Marketing, Mr. Levy is in charge of translating market and customers input into winning design, delivery and communication of the company’s software solutions.

Uri has 20 years of experience in product development and marketing in hi-tech companies in Israel and North America. Uri served as Marketing Manager at Magna International (Automotive Supplier, Canada) in machine vision camera development and as Professional Services Manager at Tecnomatix USA and Israel (Robotic Simulations, acquired by Siemens). Uri also served 10 years as VP at Visonic Group (Electronic Security Systems Manufacturer) leading at different times activities such as Product Marketing, Operations, IT, Quality and managing a business unit developing and marketing wireless security networks. Uri also served as VP Business Development at AtlasCT (Hosted mobile mapping applications), VP Marketing at Brightcom (Bluetooth chips and software) and as Product Marketing consultant.

Uri has a BSc. in Electronics Engineering from Tel-Aviv University and MBA from INSEAD, France.




Gal Dayan, Director of Support and Professional Services


Mr. Dayan leads Universal Ad’s Professional Services activity as the company is growing its retail customers base in the market.

Gal brings with him extensive experience in project management, software systems deployment and customer support. Prior to joining Universal Ad, Gal served as HP Delivery Director at Press-sense a global company, which specializes in Business Flow Automation solutions for the Print industry serving accounts such as HP, Xerox and Oce. Prior to that Gal had also managed Support, Deployment and Customer Projects at Press-sense.

Gal holds BA degree in Computer Science from IDC and Project Management Certification from Tel Aviv University.
